NFL-Best/Worst Week 4, 2020

Best-Aaron Rodgers QB Green Bay Packers-27-33 327YDS 4TD 0INT 96.9QBR 147.5RTG

This is the second time that I have Rodgers as the best player of the week, which hurts my heart as a Bears fan, but he has been the best. Week four’s performance was better than week one. Rodgers put up this massive primetime performance without his top two WRs, Davante Adams and Allen Lazard, who are out due to injuries.

Rodgers was unphased as he carved up the Falcons’ defense. Anytime Atlanta gained any momentum, Rodgers came up with a big play to kill it fast. He turned an unknown TE, Robert Tonyan (6REC 98YDS 3TD), into a must-have fantasy player. And he has led the Packers to a 4-0 record as they sit atop of the NFC North. There were many doubters coming into this season, but he has silenced them and looks determined to make this his best season to date. There is little doubt that Rodgers will be considered an MVP candidate.

Worst-Tennessee Titans-COVID Cancellation

The Titans forced the NFL to have its first postponement of 2020. They were scheduled to play the Pittsburgh Steelers but the NFL postponed the game until later in the season. We all knew this could happen at some point, but with how well the first three weeks of the season had gone, this news was unexpected. Every day, the Titans kept getting more positive test results.

There are two things that have become clear about the Titans. First, their complete disregard for the protocols put in place. Per CDC guidelines, players must quarantine the moment they test positive to COVID-19. Not only have they not quarantined, but they have also held offsite practices. Secondly, they don’t have the right leadership to get them through this. The front office doesn’t seem to be holding players or coaches accountable.

The Titans had another player come up positive on Wednesday, and now their week five game against the Buffalo Bills is in doubt. The NFL should force the Titans to forfeit any games the can’t play due to COVID infections. The Titans need more incentive to take this seriously as a team.
