NBA-2020 Finals-Game 5

Los Angeles Lakers v Miami Heat (Lakers lead 3-1)

The Lakers took the 3-1 lead in game four and were looking to take down the Heat and take their first title since 2010, but the Heat refused to back down. G Jimmy Butler stopped the Lakers dead in their tracks and pushed the Heat to beat the Lakers 111-108 and force a game six on Sunday.

The Lakers were led by F LeBron James (40PTS 13REB 7AST 3STL 4TO 42MIN) and F Anthony Davis (28PTS 12REB 3AST 3STL 3BLK 2TO 42MIN), who both had monster games. This was a close game up until the end. The Lakers had a chance to win the game when the Heat were leading 109-108 with 16.8 seconds left. James found a wide-open F Danny Green (3-8FG 2-5 3PT 8PTS) who missed his three-point attempt and forced the Lakers to foul the Heat. The game was over as James had to hoist a desperate 40-foot shot to tie the game, which also missed the mark.

The Heat was lead by G Jimmy Butler (35PTS 12REB 11AST 5STL 1BLK 3TO 47MIN), who yet again, had another huge triple-double. He played 47 out of 48 minutes in this game, and his defense was amazing. He is truly the best two-way player in the NBA right now. Even if the Heat lose this series, Butler should get the Finals MVP. I don’t feel anybody has contributed more to their team than he has. The Heat, unlike the Lakers, had a very balanced offensive attack; they had a total of six players, G Duncan Robinson 26PTS, F Jae Crowder 11PTS, G Tyler Herro 12PTS, PF/C Bam Adebayo 13PTS, and G Kendrick Nunn 14PTS, made double-digit scores on top of Butler’s transcendent game.
