Best-Baker Mayfield QB Cleveland Browns-22-28 297YDS 5TD 1INT 97.3QBR 135.6RTG
The media have blasted no one in the NFL more than Baker Mayfield for failing to win a big game. This week his play was almost as good as his commercials. He went 10-18 119YDS 1TD 2INT as the Browns fell to the Pittsburgh Steelers 38-7. This led to people to call for Mayfield to get benched. The game against the Bengals was huge, not only for the Browns as a team but for Mayfield. He needed to let people know that he is the Browns’ quarterback.
His start looked awful. Mayfield went 0-5 0YDS 1INT in the first quarter. The Browns were losing 7-3, which was the only positive. The close score is probably the only thing that kept Mayfield in the game, but nobody would’ve been shocked if head coach Kevin Stefanski benched him.
Mayfield seemed done but came back onto the field undeterred and ended up going 22-23 297YDS 5TD. Mayfield was straight up the best player in the league after having one of the worst quarters ever, and that really shows a lot of Mayfield’s character. The Browns and Mayfield still have to figure out how to beat the Steelers and Ravens in their division, but after this performance, nobody should call Mayfield to get benched for the rest of the season, in my opinion.

Worst-Chicago Bears Offense-3PTS 230PYDS 49RYDS 2INT
The Chicago Bears were 5-1 and tied for first place in the division, but most people, including Bears fans, knew a game like Monday night’s fiasco against the Los Angeles Rams was possible. The Bears were straight-up emBEARassing in their prime time showdown against the Rams, and most of it fell on head coach Matt Nagy.
This guy was brought in to help the quarterback situation, and three years later, Chicago is still lost in the QB shuffle. He killed Mitch Trubisky’s career in Chicago (Unless somehow he gets fired before Trubisky leaves), and with Nick Foles at quarterback, the offense hasn’t looked any better. The second thing he was supposed to do was get the offense to match the formidable defense that had been built up. He has done the exact opposite, the Bears have been at the bottom of every offensive category for the past two seasons.
The Bears have a championship-caliber defense and would look to have enough pieces on offense to match it, but with Nagy in the fold, the Bears willt start falling sooner than later in the standings.
