Best-QB Russell Wilson Seattle Seahawks-20-32 217YDS 3TD 1INT 70.8QBR 100.7RTG
This was not Wilson’s best game statistically but he gets my best player of the week because he was the reason the Seahawks won this game. The Vikings shut down the Seahawks in the first half, 13-0, but Wilson didn’t let that stand. He threw two touchdowns to give the lead back to the Seahawks 14-13. The Vikings had a chance to put this game away in the fourth quarter but the Seahawks defense stuffed a run by RB Alexander Mattison that gave the ball back to Wilson with 1:55. He went 95 yards to win the game.
This is the type of season Wilson is having; he drove down the field, completed two different fourth-down conversions. The second conversion was the game-winner to WR DK Metcalf. Right now, I believe Wilson would be the MVP over Aaron Rodgers because the Seahawks would not be who they are or where they are without him. As it stands, the Seahawks are first overall with five wins and zero losses. Wilson also leads the league in the TD passes with 16.

Worst-Jimmy Garoppolo QB San Francisco 49ers-7-17 77YDS 2INT 1.4QBR 15.7RTG
The 49ers finally had their full lineup of offensive weapons for the first time of 2020 with TE George Kittle, WR Deebo Samuel, RB Raheem Mostert, and Garoppolo but the Miami Dolphins just ran right over them on Sunday. Garoppolo’s game looked so bad for the 49ers that he was benched at halftime. The 49ers have fallen to 2-3 and things are looking bleak as the Rams are sitting at 4-1 and the Seahawks are at the top of the division. The 49ers really needed to get this win against the Dolphins but Garoppolo just didn’t have it in him.
I wonder if he got rushed back to service after his injury after the 49ers had dropped their game to the Eagles. Things don’t get any easier for them; they have to play the Rams in primetime this upcoming Sunday, so the 49ers better hope it was just a bad day for Jimmy G. or they are going to fall out of this division race.
