Best-Tampa Bay Buccaneers Defense-10PA 5SACKS 2INT 1TD
The Buccaneers’ defense may not have been the best overall on paper, but they shut down the hottest offense in the NFL, QB Aaron Rodgers, and the Green Bay Packers. This was the week’s biggest game, and the Buccaneers needed the win much more than the Packers did after the very disappointing performance against the Bears in week five.
The Buccs went down 10-0 early, but the defense stiffened up, and the offense was able to build momentum off of each stop, sack, and interceptions; Aaron Rodgers’s first interceptions of the 2020 season. The Buccaneers scored the most consecutive points (38) against a Rodgers’s led Green Bay Packers. The Buccaneers are bigger than their hall of fame QB Tom Brady, and they will be a barrier to the NFC Championship title. This was the game that people will look back on and say this was when the Buccaneers became a real contender.

The Patriots finally got back on the field against the Denver Broncos after a quick tussle with COVID-19, but the team fell flat, especially QB Cam Newton. Newton didn’t seem willing to push the ball downfield and lacked confidence in any of his pass-catchers. The Denver defense keyed into this and dared Newton to go deep; he never did.
The Patriots lost 18-12. The offense didn’t score nine of those points until the last quarter, once the game was well out of hand. With this loss, the Patriots are below .500 for the first time in 18 years. Newton had to expect this kind of pressure when he signed with the Patriots after legend Tom Brady left. Now he has to answer the call, or it’s going to get real ugly real fast.
