Best – Clint Frazier OF New York Yankees – 3-3 1R 5RBI 1HR 1BB

The New York Yankees have talent everywhere. And when I say everywhere, I literally mean everywhere. Clint Frazier got called up from their taxi squad to start this weekend against rival Boston Red Sox.and is making the losses of superstar OF’s Giancarlo Stanton and Aaron Judge not even matter.

Frazier has always been one of the more talented OF in the league, but the Yankees never called him up due to the incredible depth have at OF. But now that the Yankees have holes left by Stanton and Judge, Frazier has his chance to shine. So far, he is off to a jaw-dropping season (.636 2HR 8RBI 3GP).

Frazier ads tremendous depth for to team, or the Yankees could leverage him as a valuable trade piece to get another starter to solidify their pitching rotation. Either way, the rich get richer with the way Frazier has been playing, and the Yankees have a lot of options to keep their legacy alive.

Other Notables: Aaron Nola SP Phillies – 7IP 3H 0ER 2BB 8K 1W; Whit Merrifield 2B Royals – 3-4 1R 4RBI 1HR (Game 2); Shane Bieber SP Cleveland – 7IP 3H 0ER 1BB 11K 1W; Fernando Tatis Jr. SS Padres – 2-4 3R 3RBI 1BB 1HR; Chirstian Javier SP Astros – 6IP 1H 0ER 3BB 5K 1W.

Worst – Nathan Eovaldi SP Boston Red Sox – 5.1IP 9H 8ER 2BB 3K 1L

The Boston Red Sox will be in for one of their worst seasons in a long time. The biggest reason, their weak starting pitchers who do not show any signs of improvement. Boston lost Chris Sale to injury before the season started, they traded away David Price to the Dodgers, and then lost their next best starting pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez to injury.

Nathan Eovaldi got the opening day start by process of elimination. In all honesty, the Red Sox were probably not expecting much out him, but wow, to be this bad. On any other team, he would have been replaced, but the Red Sox have no other options this season.

After the crushing 11-5 loss to the Yankees, the Red Sox have a record of 6-15, good for the last place in the AL East. Eovaldi and the rest of this pitching staff are a mish-mash of guys nobody wants or should not start in the MLB. Either the Red Sox have a fire sale and try to get some prospects or keep suffering through Eovaldi and this horrid pitching staff.

Extra Trash: Matt Chapman 3B Athletics – 0-5 3K; Trevor Gott CP Giants – .2IP 3H 4ER 1BB 0K 1BS 1L; Asdrubal Cabrera 1B Nationals – 0-4 3K; Walker Buehler SP Dodgers – 4.2IP 6H 4ER 1BB 5K; Logan Forsythe 2B Marlins – 0-4 3K.
