Best-Kyle Tucker OF Houston Astros-4-5 3R 4RBI 1HR
The Houston Astros got some more devastating injury news on Wednesday, OF/DH Yordan Alvarez is opting for season ending knee surgery. The Astros have had their fair share of injuries and have been waiting for somebody to step up.
Kyle Tucker answered the call on Wednesday. Tucker was one double away from a cycle, hitting two triples to go along with his single and home run. The Astros had not been giving Tucker consistent playing time, but now that Alvarez is out for the season, Tucker does not have to worry about his time being messed with, leaving him to concentrate on having more games like this for the Astros.
The Astros offense has been struggling overall this season, especially when their big three, Jose Altuve, George Springer, and Alex Bregman, are all batting under .275. The Astros have won seven games in a row without any consistency from their offense. With consistency, the Astros will be unstoppable.

Worst-Jeff Hoffman SP/RP Colorado Rockies-.2IP 6H 5ER 0BB 2K
The Colorado Rockies have gone from a first place team to a dog fighting in a three way tie for second in the NL West. A big part of the failure has been the bullpen.
Hoffman used to be a starter for the Rockies but he was too inconsistent. The Rockies have been trying him out of the pen, but he might not be any better there either. Hoffman came out on Wednesday and proved he is just as awful as the rest of the pen. The Rockies have one of the most dynamic offenses in all of the game but pitching has always been their issue.
This season the Rockies starters’ have been pretty good but the bullpen has been unable to hold onto a lead throughout the season. Currently, the pen is missing their best two arms, Scott Oberg and Wade Davis. They both sound like they are unlikely to return this season. I am not sure what the Rockies can do to help this abomination of a bullpen but until they get some consistent arms back, their recent stretch of losses (2-8 in their last 10) will more than likely become the norm.
