Best-Andrew Heaney SP Angels-7IP 3H 0ER 2BB 6K 117PC 1W
The Angels have been quite bad this season (12-25), but SP Andrew Heaney shines bright for the Angels. Heaney shut down one of the hottest offenses in the MLB, the San Diego Padres. Heaney has always had skills and great stuff, but injuries held him back from pitching a full season.
The performance that Heaney gave on Thursday night was incredible. He didn’t give up any runs, only three hits. The Angels only plated two in the whole game, but that was more than enough thanks to Heaney. The Angels season is pretty much over, but Heaney has a chance to show he is a must-have on any pitching staff.

Worst-Kris Bryant 3B Cubs-0-5 2K
The Cubs are still in first place, but their record is falling fast. Their offense has been dragging, and Thursday’s most egregious player was Kris Bryant. Bryant has just come back from a stint on the IL, but he wasn’t hitting before that either.
Thursday’s game was terrible. Bryant had no hits in five at-bats. Bryant (.178AVG 2HR 4RBI 10R) is floundering, and the Cubs are lucky that the rest of their division is not much better.
