Best-Adalberto Mondesi SS Kansas City Royals-4-4 2R 2RBI 2SB
Adalberto Mondesi had high hopes coming into this season, but he could never get going. Two weeks ago, he was batting under .200, but apparently, he saved his best for the end of the season. His average is now at .230, and he is leading the league in steals.
Everybody knew that Mondesi was well on his way to getting his first stolen base crown last season(43SB 102G), but with him missing 60 games, he finished second in the American League to OF Mallex Smith (46SB). This season though, Mondesi was healthy, and despite his struggles at the plate, he was still able to manage 22 steals. This season he is a lock to win his first, long-awaited, stolen bag crown. The Royals haven’t had much to cheer for this season, but at least one of their players didn’t leave empty-handed.

Worst-Lance Lynn SP Texas Rangers-5.2IP 12H 9ER 2BB 5K 104PC 1L
The Rangers had high expectations this season, but injuries ravaged them before they could get going. The season was lost by the second week of the season. Lynn, however, continued to be their only consistent player. The Rangers decided not to trade him at the deadline, which, in retrospect, was a bad decision.
His ERA sits at 5.51 for September. In this game alone, Lynn raised his season era from 2.53 to 3.32. Lynn hasn’t done himself any favors this past month, making it hard to imagine a team willing to shell out big money for him now.
