Fantasy NFL-Waiver Wire for Week 9

Today is Election Day, and there are a few players who should be getting your votes to be on your fantasy squads. But seriously, make sure to get out there and vote if you have not done so yet. Back to fantasy, teams have lost both QB Jimmy Garropolo and TE George Kittle for the rest of the season. Finding someone to replace their production isn’t easy but it is possible.

QB Drew Lock Denver Broncos 10% Owned-248YDS 3TDS 1INT

Drew Lock had some huge sleeper hype heading into this season. The Broncos have invested in an arsenal of weapons, WR Jerry Jeudy, WR KJ Hamler, RB Melvin Gordon, to make it easier on Lock heading into his second year as the starting QB. Unfortunately, he got hurt in the second game of the season, which killed his momentum for him in 2020.

On Sunday, Lock lived up to that sleeper hype he earned heading into the 2020 season. He brought his team back and threw the game-winning touchdown with no time left. Lock now gets to take on one of the juiciest matchups in all of fantasy football, the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons have given up the most points to QBs, so Lock is set up to achieve his 2020 fantasy record.

RB DeeJay Dallas Seattle Seahawks 25% Owned-18CAR 41YDS 1TD 5REC 5TGTS 17YDS 1TD

Dee Jay Dallas is the last RB standing for the Seahawks and on Sunday he delivered with two touchdowns. The health and status are not known for the Seahawks’ next game against the Bills but after this performance, Dallas has earned himself more touches going forward, even as a number two option. With Dallas stepping up, the Seahawks may not feel the need to rush any of their other running backs. In a pretty weak waiver wire for running backs, Dallas is going to be involved in one of the best offenses in the NFL.

WR Jalen Reagor Philadelphia Eagles 24% Owned-3REC 6TGTS 16YDS 1TD 2-PT 1CAR 6YDS

The Eagles drafted Jalen Reagor to help an aging WR corps, but injuries have kept him out all season. He got activated this past week and QB Carson Wentz wasn’t shy about getting this young WR involved. Reager had six targets and a touchdown. Reagor could’ve had a bigger game, but he had 50% completions and one was a dropped touchdown. Overall there are some good signs, Wentz wants the Eagles first-round draft pick to be a big part of this offense moving forward. Note: The Eagles are on a bye this week but if you have spot, pick him up. The Eagles’ next three matchups are all against teams giving up points to WR.

TE Logan Thomas Washington Football Team 23% Owned

Thomas is coming off a bye, so most people won’t be thinking about his production level in the two games before. He scored 13.2 and 16 fantasy points in PPR leagues in weeks 6 and 7, so for people who lost George Kittle this past week, this guy is a good replacement. He isn’t a household name yet, but Thomas looks to be a big part of Washington’s passing game. Thomas also has a pretty nice matchup against a very lackluster defense, the New York Giants.

Extra Pickups: QB Nick Mullens 49ers; Jordan Wilkins RB Colts; Mechole Hardman WR Chiefs; Jordan Reed TE 49ers; Houston Texans DEF; Zane Gonzalez K Cardinals.
