Every year, many players go undrafted that are huge assets to winning titles in fantasy football. It doesn’t hurt to keep an eye on some of these players as early as possible or if your draft hasn’t happened just yet, take these guys towards the end of your draft to take down your opponents.
Hunter Renfrow WR Las Vegas Raiders
The Raiders are going with an all-out youth movement at wide receiver this year with rookies WR Henry Ruggs and WR Bryan Edwards. That leaves slot receiver, Hunter Renfrow, as the only receiver to have played with QB Derek Carr, giving him the upper hand on rapport.
Last year, Renfrow finished the season on a tear. In his last seven games, he had 35REC 45TGTS 490YDS and 2TD. These are some great numbers for a third WR or flex option. As the only healthy veteran wide receiver, I predict Renfrow will ascend as one of the league’s better slot receivers.
Benny Snell RB Pittsburgh Steelers
James Connor is the undeniable lead back for the Steelers, but he has yet to finish a full season since he has come in the NFL. Benny Snell is an excellent handcuff for any Connor owners, or if you don’t have Connor, he can still provide immediate turn back of a low running back or one of the best 2nd running back on fantasy rosters.
The Steelers are known to feature their backs in the passing game and the running game and are getting QB Big Ben Roethlisberger back. Roethlisberger has always made teams respect the pass, which opens up plenty of running lanes. Snell can be drafted as one of your last three picks, or wait and see if he goes undrafted pick him off the waiver wire.
Drew Lock QB Denver Broncos
Drew Lock started with the Broncos in the second half of the 2019 season (1020YDS 7TD 3INT 5Games) and earned a 4-1 record. This year, Lock has plenty of upside in the shape of skill players all over the field.
Cortland Sutton (72REC 1112YDS 6TD) made his presence known last year and will now look to build on that success going into his third year. Rookie tight end Noah Fant (40REC 562YDS 3TD) showed glimpses of how good he can be last season and is poised to make a big jump in his sophomore season. The Broncos also drafted WR’s Jerry Jeudy, KJ Hamler, and brought in Pro Bowl RB Melvin Gordon, adding to their locked and loaded lineup. With all these weapons, Lock should make a good second QB with having the upside of putting up QB1 numbers.
